I hope everyone is making plans to enjoy Canada Creek Ranch this summer. There are so many fun activities coming up including the CCR Beach Bash, Strawberry Festival, and the Pork Bash and Pie Auction at the Campground.
Also, let’ s all remember to enjoy the peacefulness of CCR this summer. Fishing trips out back and a cozy campfire( if it’ s not too dry) are two great ways to fall in love in love with our piece of heaven all over again.
Here are the topics that were discussed at our June Board meeting:
An important decision was made regarding the CCR Natural Resources fund. A motion was made and approved to put a funding proposal on the September proxy in the amount of $ 205.61 annually. The annual CPI adjustment would remain capped at 5 %.
Before the vote, Town Halls will be held on both July 6 and August 2 to continue our discussions with members. If you cannot attend a Town Hall and still have questions, check out the FAQ document on the CCR website at https:// ccra. club / resource or feel free to call Brian, a member of the Long-Term Planning Committee, or any Board member for clarification.
We also approved a plan to create a deer cooler at the Ranch House. It will be funded entirely through
President’ s Message
1 donations with an anticipated cost not to exceed $ 7,500. The hope is that the majority of the funds will be acquired by August in order to start the building process before hunting season begins.
Following the recent ice storm, we are asking all members to make sure that addresses on their cabins / homes are clearly marked. During the ice storm, identifying addresses of those in need was sometimes difficult. Someday, any one of us might need emergency assistance. Let’ s give our our fire and EMS personnel all the help they need to locate us as quickly as possible. Address signs with reflective numbers are preferred.
Finally, we highly encourage members to make every effort to remove debris from their lots. A potential wildfire is still a great concern. Clearing ranch-owned lots will continue to be addressed at future Board meetings.
The next Board meeting will take place on July 26.
For more information, check out the Board minutes in the upcoming CCR newsletter. And join us for our next meeting in person or via Zoom. Questions? Contact me v. rakowski @ canadacreekranch. com or Brian @ canadacreekranch. com or any of the other board members and let us know what’ s on your mind.
Slow Down for Safety: Reminder About Speed Limits
As we head into the busy summer season, we want to remind all members and guests to please observe the posted speed limits throughout the property.
In particular, the speed limit is reduced to 10 mph in areas including the ranch house, beach area, and campground. These areas see increased foot traffic, especially with children and families walking, biking, and enjoying the amenities. Slowing down not only keeps everyone safe but also helps preserve the peaceful atmosphere we all enjoy. It also helps to keep the dust to a minimum. Please be mindful, drive cautiously, and help us keep our community safe for all. Safety & Security Committee
