Question 1 : The skills and attributes I bring to the board are simple , hard work , dedication , and honesty . We may not agree on everything , but I can promise I will always tell the membership the truth . When you look at the sustainability of CCR you must keep the interest of the entire membership in mind , without a strong and vibrate membership this club will perish . Every decision made must be guided by the mission statement , I feel this document is the most important document we have as a club . When you read this document , it lays the foundation for the direction we should be headed as club . While making these decisions you have the duty to remove all personal interest you may have in a certain committee , situation , or area on the club , that decision must be made with the entire membership in mind . I can assure you that some decisions are going to be difficult or even unpopular , but they must be made .
Question 2 : The legacy and heritage of CCR should always be in your mind when making decisions on the board at CCR . When you read our mission statement you see terms like “ preserve our hunting and fishing heritage ”, “ ecologically responsible resource stewardship ”, “ farsighted financial management ”, “ respect for the dignity of fellow members ”. The moment you drive through the gates you get a sense of relaxation , security , and excitement . CCR is a little piece of paradise , we must do everything in our power to keep it that way . While the world is changing at a rapid place , we should do our best to keep this club the place it ’ s always been . Remember if we lose our vision , we lose our club !
Question 3 : I believe experience is the best tool anybody can have . Over the last three years I have learned a lot about the operations , finances , and the business side of CCR . We are very diverse club , with each part having it ’ s owns wants and needs . After serving the last three years on the board and being involved in many committees , I believe I have prepared myself to serve the membership another three years . It would be my pleasure to serve the membership at CCR and keep this wonderful club the way it has been for decades .

Question # 1 : My financial background and experience as current chair of the CCR Investment Committee can help bring value to the Board of Directors . I have over 20 years ’ professional experience managing money and assets , and during that time built a business from scratch to over $ 100 million in client assets . During 2008- 09 financial crisis , I was a financial advisor with Edward Jones , in which time client assets fell dramatically . As a result , I learned to listen and empathize well in order to guide clients and earn and keep their trust in challenging times . As a numbers person and formerly licensed engineer , I am skilled at maintaining objectivity . I am an easy conversationalist , good listener and communicate well . I quietly get things done . Now that I am retired , I have considerable time to devote to potential Board activities .
Question # 2 : Yes . As a great-grandchild of a charter member , a love of Canada Creek Ranch is part of the legacy passed on to me . CCR is the place where I learned to fish , hunt , and explore . I take the stewardship of the Ranch and its heritage very seriously so it will be here for my grandchildren to one day enjoy these same activities . If elected to the Board , I will work to maintain the pristine nature of the Ranch . CCR is continually evolving , while recognizing the foundation and heritage in the Rules and By-Laws .
Question # 3 : Listening to Members is important to me , as is finding out what is most important to them . If elected , I will listen to Members ’ diverse needs and concerns , including recreational and campground activities . I have been speaking with Management and past and current Board members to learn from their experiences to assist in planning for the future . I am not afraid to ask questions . In addition , I am immersing myself in the CCR Rules and By-Laws and reviewing past editions of the newsletter .
