It is an honor to be considered for reelection to the Board or Directors . My first term has opened my eyes to the effort that goes into being on the board of directors and serving the members of this great club .
I am a third-generation member here at CCR . My grandparents Jim and Marilyn Cramer joined this club in the late 80 ’ s . I was hooked on this great place after my first visit with my grandparents . I have fond memories of coming up for a whole month in the summer . We would spend the mornings on the trail ’ s outback looking for elk , afternoons were spent at the beach and the evenings were full of fishing . In 2014 , my wife Jennifer and I decided we wanted to give our daughters ( Aubrey 10 and Harper 9 ) the opportunity to enjoy this club the way I did as a child . My family spends the summer months camping , swimming , and looking for elk . During the winter months , we enjoy snowmobiling on the many trails outback . I am an avid bowhunter and enjoy sitting in a tall pine outback during the fall bow season .
I graduated from Lake Fenton high school in 2001 and attended Mott community college from 2001- 2003 where I studied criminal justice . I started my career in 2003 at JLM Wholesale and truly enjoy going to work every day . My job entails , but is not limited to , the estimating of projects , working within a budget and being accountable for every decision I make .
I was elected to the board in 2018 , and since elected , I have served as both the secretary and currently the Vice President . I serve as the Board Liaison to the campground , as well as serving on the historical , recreational and forestry subcommittee . I believe the board must always stay attentive to the wants and needs of the membership because we work on behalf of the members . We must maintain open and transparent communication with the membership . Personally , I enjoy the conversations I have had with members , we may or may not always agree on the outcome of that conversation , but that type of communication is paramount . My cell number is 810-241-3250 . I tell members I will discuss any issues or concerns they may have . We need to make sure we keep this club as affordable as we can , while maintaining the assets we have . I believe some of the brightest days of this club are ahead of us .
In closing , I have enjoyed serving the membership of this club over the past three years . It would be my pleasure to serve another three years . Remember if we lose our vision , we lose our club .
