NEW MEMBERS Consumers Energy. Prior to his employment with Consumers Energy, Rick worked 26 years for Shively Bouma as a Carpenter. Jeannine is employed at Henry Ford Allegiance Health as a Department Assistant in the Physician Quality Department. Jeannine is working on 41 years at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. We have been to Canada Creek Ranch on and off for the past 30 years. We were introduced to the Ranch through Jeannine’s brother in law, Doug Vincent. Through Doug, we have made many friends: Dave and Pam Thomas, The Herzog families, The Vincent families, to name a few. Rick enjoys hunting on the Ranch during deer hunting season. Jeannine enjoys running and is just completing a personal goal of running 1 5K a month for 12 months. Jeannine’s 5 th 5K was on the 4 th of July at CCR. Jeannine also enjoys yoga and spinning classes. We both enjoy camping at CCR campground and participating in the 4 th of July activities on the ranch. We also enjoy canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, biking and taking walks. It has been a long time coming, but the time was finally right for us to join the Canada Creek Ranch family. Our plan is to make the ranch our summertime retirement destination. We also hope that one day our children and their spouses will want to become part of Canada Creek Ranch family. We look forward to meeting more families and enjoying all CCR has to offer. Denis Knight, Jr Jr. . Hello CCR! My name is Denis Knight, Jr and I am a new member with this organization. While the membership is new, the exposure to everything CCR has to offer is not. I have been coming up to ‘The Ranch’ (As my family calls it) since I was 5 years old. You could say I really grew up here. I have spent summers in the lakes (both swimming and fishing), fall in the back of trucks trying to go spotting for deer before the seasons open, and winter’s sitting beneath trees or in stands hunting. While I currently reside in Wayne, MI there is always a part of me that is on ranch grounds. Many times, my fiancé and I have made the trek north to just relax at my parents’ cabin (the ‘other’ Knight Family) and get a little fresh air in between weeks of work. Both my parents, as well as my aunt and uncle are members. Respectfully, Denis and Donna Knight are my parents, and Ann and Dave Gillies are my Aunt/ Uncle. My parents have been members since early 2000’s and will all the time I have spent on the trails or just getting lost in the woods (was a fun day) I couldn’t think of a better organization to be apart of as I start to make a family. Just to touch on a few things about me, I currently work as a Supply Chain Consultant. I work from home, so that means more time for the ‘Honey-do list’ and gives me the chance to spend time on the ranch, albeit I have yet to do that. I am currently engaged and will be tying the knot in May of this year. While we do not have any children yet, we do have our two- year-old German Shepherd that enjoys this place as much as we do if not more. We have some land next to my parents’ cabin, which eventually we plan on building on. Until then, we will continue to stay at my parents’ cabin. I look forward to the many years here and showing our future children everything, Canada Creek Ranch has to offer. Hi. I’m Andrew Leach and I will be a 4 th generation Canada Creek Ranch member. Each time I enter the Ranch House, I stop to find the name of my Great-Grandfather, J. Lynn Houck, on the Canada Creek Honor Roll picture. I live in Brighton, MI with my girlfriend Alexis, and our daughter Addison. Our Golden-Irish Setter, Harley, rounds out our family. Many of my extended family members including my New Member, Andrew Leach. parents, aunts and uncles and two cousins are current CCR members. I am employed as a Designer for the V-Converter Corporation in Novi, MI and I specialize in designing tools. My hobbies include many outdoor activities including hunting, all types of fishing including ice fishing and trout fishing, trapping and camping. I have spent many hours on the Ranch learning to hunt and fish with my grandpa and uncles. I especially enjoy fishing at Little Joe and taking rides out on the property to view the wildlife. I look forward to continuing the many family traditions of Canada Creek Ranch passed down through generations with my family.
