Investment Committee 2021 Annual Report
The CCR investment accounts had gains overall with the stock markets rising during the year . It ’ s important to remember that some years the investments will lose value . Goals of the investment accounts are three-fold and vary by account :
1 . preservation of principal 2 . current income 3 . long-term growth
Changes were made during the year to the Endowment and Resource fixed income investments and how they are invested . We changed from individual fixed income portfolios to professionally managed laddered portfolios . All investment accounts are currently managed by UBS Financial Services , Birmingham , MI .
Four regularly scheduled quarterly meetings were held during the year with the July meeting being in- person at the Ranch House . Both committee members and financial advisors were in attendance . Current committee members : Dan Blanton , Committee Chair Brian Rogers , General Manager Ray Karbon , Board Member Matt Ames , Board Member Tom Trainor , Committee Member Ed Majask , Committee Member Jim Abbe , Committee Member

Cassie Cotner , Co-Chair Jimmy Reeves , Co-Chair Julie Olds , Treasurer Sue Jacobs , Secretary
The CCR Auxiliary consists of all female members of Canada Creek Ranch . We are a service organization that supports activities on the Ranch and surrounding communities . This support ranges from donations to the CCR Fire Brigade to local school systems lunch programs . Books are purchased the club library ; organization and maintenance are provided by the Auxiliary . The Auxiliary also operates the Gift Shop , our primary source of funds for our other activities . We also award the annual Hank LaLonde Award to members who go “ above and beyond ” in providing services to the Ranch and its members .
The 2020 award went to all the CCR members who made and distributed COVID masks to many individuals and organizations .
This year has again provided challenges for all members . Our annual Spring Fling did not occur ; however , we will hold a Harvest Dinner , October 13,2021 and will give The Hank LaLonde Award then . We will again do our annual Christmas awards to Canada Creek Ranch and the surrounding communities . We are continuing to operate the Gift Shop and Library . Volunteers for these activities are always welcomed .
Thank you , Jimmy Reeves
Long Range Planning Committee 2021 Report This has been very interesting year , I was elected to the board in January and took over the Long Range Planning Committee as the Chairman . During this time the board had many meetings in person as well as virtually as we were not always allowed to gather in person due to the restrictions put in place by our Government due to the pandemic . This being said , we worked through these challenges and still accomplished many Goals moving CCR forward . These goals included :
Goal 3-2 The state of the ranch report be delivered in a new format
Goal 5-2 The way each committee chair was accountable for their committee and what they reported to board
Goal 6-7 The reserve study was completed
Goal 6-8 The General Manager Identified and prioritized equipment and storage needs for our club . Goal 5-3 A new data collection avenue was implemented .
Goal 4-5 A new Donation program was established .
Goal 4-4 The Capital Fund was restructured and put on the 2021 Ballot .
As we look towards the future we look forward to building on the success of completing more goals this coming year as well as keeping our strategic plan process moving forward looking for ways to improve our processes , facilities , amenities and polices .
Respectfully submitted ,
Mark Boyce Long Range Planning Committee Chairman
