2021 Strategic Planning The committee is reviewing long-term range upgrades that the Board should be aware of .
1 ) Handicap accessibility for the Rifle and Pistol ranges . This improvement would require installation of a parking pad and access sidewalk joining the pistol range , 25-yard house , and 100-yard house . Estimated cost TBD .
1 ) Pistol range paving and roof . This improvement would provide members with a pistol range shooting facility like the rifle range houses . It would require a concrete slab and a roof covering over the small pistol range area . Estimated cost TBD . We are having difficulty getting quotes on this work .
Join CCR ’ s Border Patrol
Each year the office receives several member phone calls informing us of a problem with CCR ’ s perimeter fencing . These calls range from a section of wire down , poles broken off or even missing “ No Trespassing ” signs . To help alleviate some of these issues , a volunteer program call Adopt-A- Fence has been developed . This would be a volunteer program similar to Adopt-A-Highway .
We need members to sign-up to care for a section of CCR perimeter fence . These sections will be ½ mile in length . CCR has approximately 20 miles of perimeter fencing . Volunteers willing and able to take on more than one section are welcome to do so . Your section can be maintained by an individual , a family or even a group of friends .
We would like volunteers to be responsible to monitor and maintenance of their section , which includes ; cleaning debris , repairing down wire , and replace any broken posts . All materials and tools needed are available and supplied by CCR . Don ’ t know how ? There are some great UTube videos explaining how to repair smooth wire fencing . ( Example : https :// youtu . be / Pw3 _ a8athiE )
There will be a map available at the office to sign-up for a section of fence . Sections will be allocated on a first-comefirst-served basis . If you are interested in joining CCR Border Patrol or have any questions , please contact :
