Committee Reports 1 . Forestry / Wildlife Plan Review Committee Recommendation i . Recommendation : Send out the Jack Pine ( 77 acre ) parcel for timber sale . Leave one ( 1 ) to three ( 3 ) mature and healthy White oak , Red Oak , White Pine or Red Pine trees per acre if they are available , preference given to White Oak and Red Oak ( individual trees will be evaluated and marked with green paint for retention ). Do not harvest the Northern Hardwood , Red Oak , or Aspen units this winter . Reconsider next year after analysis . The vote results were eight ( 8 ) in favor and three ( 3 ) opposed . One person of the subcommittee had exited the meeting prior to the vote .

New Business 1 . MSU Extension Forestry / Wildlife Plan Review Proposal
• Discussion included topics of surveying the membership , unbiased survey writing , timetable of events , benefits of using a professional in industry , benefits of utilizing a third-party organization and overall cost .
Motion by M . Boyce , supported by T . Chambers to approve an expenditure of $ 70,115.00 from the Resource Fund for the MSU Extension Forestry / Wildlife Plan Review Proposal as presented . Roll Call Vote : YAY : M . Ames , R . Delecki , N . Schulz , M . Boyce , T . Chambers , T . Logghe , R . Karbon ; NAY : A . Lifsey , W . Cook . Motion Approved 7 – 2 .
