Continued from page 4 restoration options, we have decided to plant the roads and gas sites with our equipment and personal and accept the reimbursement rate established in our March 2006 Surface Use Agreement. Riverside Energy has agreed to this revised restoration plan and will reimburse CCR at a rate of $900 per acre to reseed 10 acres of gas sites and 11 acres of trails. Riverside will issue a check for $18,900 which will be deposited into the Resource Fund as outlined in the By-Laws. The Association assumes no responsibility for the construction and use of blinds on its property. Hunters are advised to use caution in erecting, removing and using blinds. This item is complete and will be removed Open Issues Log. • Item 0719-1: Gypsy Moth Suppression – The Board had a special meeting August 15, 2019 to way the pros and cons of spraying. Motion by M. Ames, seconded by V. Kaszonyi to approve the Manager’s Report. Motion passed unanimously. • Proxy Items and Timing Schedule: T. Chambers asked what the process was for getting a paper ballot. Members must call the office to request a paper ballot. Otherwise, they must vote electronically. Old Business/Open Issues Log • Item 1017-1 (290): Strategic Plan Goal Review – M. Smith created a spreadsheet what will show all 26 goals. The spreadsheet will be color coded and show the status. At each Board meeting, the next three months goals will be discussed to ensure they are on track. This spreadsheet will be up on the Website. Now that the Strategic Plan is published, this item will be removed from the Open Issues Log. New Business • Dick and Tammy Smith requested a paving variance for]their driveway. Pictures were reviewed and discussion had. Motion by B. Cook, seconded by M. Smith to approve the variance. 8 - yes. T. Chambers – no. Motion passed. • Item 0416-1 (275): Erosion Control/Road Project – This item is Strategic Plan Goal 6-5 and will be removed from the Open Issues Log. • Marvin Tisdale asked that the non-member escrow fees in the amount of $300 be removed. He was actively trying to sell the property that took 8 months instead of 6 months. • Item 1018-1 (307): Capital Fund Income and Expense Plan – This item is Strategic Plan Goal 4-4 and will be removed from the Open Issues Log. Motion by V. Kaszonyi, seconded by F. Calabro to remove the non-member escrow fees. Motion passed unanimously. • Item 0419-2: Second reading of new language to Rule 19.09. T. Chambers meet with the Conservation Committee on why the rule should be changed. After much discussion the recommendation is to leave the rule as is and not make any changes. We must enforce the current rule. • Discussion about purchasing lot 64 Rex Park being sold by a member. The location and how it could benefit the Ranch for drainage and site improvement of the roadway was discussed. The cost would be $750. Motion by A. Lifsey, seconded by V. Kaszonyi to purchase lot 64 Rex Park out of the Capital Fund in the amount of $750. Motion passed unanimously. Motion by T. Chambers seconded by M. Smith to approve the language revision to Rule 19.09 second reading. Motion failed all opposed. Rule 19.09 will remain as is: • Fred and Nancy Calabro requested to trade their lot 24 Rex Park with Ranch lot 922 Virginia Park. Permanent deer blinds: Construction will be limited to natural materials only. Temporary blinds: Construction is limited to cloth materials (canvas, burlap, netting). They may be set up no earlier than August 1 st and must be removed no later than March 1st. Blinds erected under the above artificial material rules must be identified with the name of the responsible member. (06/2017) Tree stands/blinds: The state of Michigan regulations as specified for construction, attachment, etc. on public land shall apply to Canada Creek Ranch. Items from Members • Member Dave Smith thanked the Board, General Manager and Committees involved in getting the box truck removed from Ranch House Trail. • Member Greg Skotzke asked that a better security report be published for the membership regarding vandalism and larcenies. The current report that is given to the Board will be updated to include larcenies. Turkey Season Blinds: Blinds for Turkey Hunting can be setup 3 days prior to the start of turkey season.
