1. How are antlerless tags being issued this year? a. As it was done in 2024, antlerless tags are no longer required as we have converted to a quota-based system, similar to how Sturgeon, at Black Lake, are harvested each year. CCR is allowing eighty four( 84) antlerless deer to be taken this year. You will see a“ Number Remaining” sign at Wilson Bridge stating then number of deer remaining to be taken. Updates will also be published on the CCR Facebook Members-Only Group, on the website, and via email. When we get close and when we meet the quota, a text message will be sent, along with all the other communication avenues, to all Members stating that no more antlerless deer may be taken. 3. Is the September Early Antlerless Firearm Hunt now open at CCR? a. Yes. The rule was changed to allow harvesting of antlerless deer during this season.

6. Can kids 16 and under still shoot an antlerless deer if we have met the quota? a. This rule did not change.“ Youth members, 100 % disabled Veterans( members or guest) and‘ Disabled” members may harvest one( 1) antlerless deer, even if the quota has been filled for the year.”
7. Do cull area antlerless deer count towards the quota or my season limit? a. This rule did not change.“ Deer may be taken under an appropriate state issued hunting license. No CCR Antlerless tag is required. Harvested antlerless deer do not apply to CCR all seasons, antlerless harvest quota.”
8. Who do I get a hold of to help me get my deer data collection information when I get my animal? a. You are to contact Alleigh Pagels, CCR’ s Wildlife Biologist, or the contact sheet that will be at the harvest sign in sheet in the lobby. The Maintenance Team is trained in data collection as well.
9. How is the doe harvest quota determined? a. The doe harvest quota is determined by several factors. The main being the result of our surveys that we perform( hunter observation forms, trail camera surveys and browse surveys). Typically, a 30 % removal by means of harvest is recommended in a well-stocked area( high carrying capacity).
4. How many antlerless deer can I shoot with a rifle? a. This rule did not change.“ Hunters shall not harvest more than two( 2) antlerless deer per year, whereas one( 1) antlerless deer may be harvested during all firearm seasons combined.( This limit does not apply to cull areas.)”

DNR Deer Check Stations
Successful CCR deer hunters are encouraged to get their deer checked at any DNR check station. The Biologists can sort through their computer data after the season and provide CCR with age structure date for our deer harvest.
COYOTE HUNTING GUIDELINES
• Members must follow all Federal, State and Local Laws and Regulations. Members are responsible for knowing all the laws and regulations.
• Members may hunt coyote with a State of Michigan base license. EXCEPTION: Members hunting coyote Nov. 10-14 must have a fur harvester license and are limited to the use of. 22 or smaller rimfire.
• Members trapping coyotes must have a fur harvester license.
• Non-Resident Members must have a fur harvesters license to hunt or trap coyotes.
• Dogs MAY NOT be used to run coyotes on CCR property between October 1 and November 30.
• CCR offers a $ 25.00 Member credit for coyotes.
• Coyotes must be harvested on CCR property to receive a bounty.
• Location of the coyote harvest may be requested.
• Coyotes brought to the office / maintenance garage will have the tongues cut to show the animal has been registered with CCR.
