Steve Boyce
My name is Steve Boyce, and I’ m honored to be considered for a position on the Board of Directors at Canada Creek Ranch— a place that has been a cornerstone in my family for four generations. I enjoyed fishing and hunting with my dad, uncle and grandfather who was a founding member of the Ranch. As a lifelong outdoorsman and proud steward of this land, I’ m deeply invested in preserving the values, beauty, and purpose of our Ranch for generations to come.
I graduated from Linden High School in 1971 and proudly served in the United States military for seven years. After my service, I attended Baker College where I studied Industrial Management. In 1985, I started Boyce Electric and have maintained it for 40 years. I am a State of Michigan Licensed Electrical Contractor and carry the State of Michigan Master Electrician license for the company. I went on to build a long and fulfilling career in skilled trades, retiring as a journeyman electrician from General Motors for 36 years. Throughout my career, I served as a UAW Electrician, and was elected as the Shop Chairman for our UAW local union— roles that demanded leadership, accountability, and a strong voice for the people I represented. These experiences have shaped my ability to solve problems, manage finances responsibly, and lead with integrity.
In addition to my professional background, I have served on multiple boards, including the Eastern Michigan Nazarene District Camp, Indian Lake Nazarene Camp, and West Flint Church of the Nazarene. Currently, I serve on Chapman Memorial Nazarene Church board and the Michigan District Nazarene Camp board. I’ ve also remained actively involved in the Canada Creek Ranch community through volunteer service at the shooting range, supporting electrical needs around the property which include, trouble shooting the water well at Rye Field # 4 as it was not working. This well is needed to provide water for the new trees in the nursery near Rye Field # 4. I have volunteered to assess the electrical requirements for the installation of the outside cooler for the early deer season to prevent meat spoilage. I have also served voluntarily as an elk scout for the ELK Season. Most recently, I volunteered during the after math of the 2025 ice storm by removing trees from roofs and patching them. I also provided electrical service connections to some residents affected by the storm. These roles reflect my hands-on approach to stewardship and my belief that contributing time and talent is essential to preserving what makes this place so special.
Canada Creek Ranch is more than a club— it’ s a community and a way of life. My wife Beth and I love the closeness of the community and the shared respect for nature and tradition that brings us all together. I’ m passionate about protecting the traditions that make the Ranch special while ensuring we manage our resources responsibly and plan for a strong, vibrant future. I support

13 initiatives that maintain high standards, preserve the tranquility of the Ranch, and keep it a sanctuary for those who respect its values.
If elected, I will work hard to ensure fiscal responsibility, respectful governance, and a firm commitment to keeping the Ranch the exceptional place it’ s always been— free from disruption and dedicated to those who cherish the outdoors, family, and community.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely, Steve Boyce
