Historical Corner
The Historical Committee continues to formulate the topics for museum content. Several groups are researching – through written material, photos and artifacts for the displays.
We are interested in your photos and stories from the past. If you don’ t wish to part with photos – you can take a clear photo with your cell phone and forward to Perry Cooper( perryfcooper @ gmail. com). Some specific photos we are looking for are those that show the several older ranch house changes, parties or events which show the older dining room or porch areas, the horse stables that were down the hill south of the current Ranch House or on Horse Barn Trail, any Teen Club photos in the old Teen Club, the old rifle range or shot gun range, any of the old Wilson Bridge to name a few.
There’ s much work ahead pulling“ the stories” with the photos together along with artifacts and display material. If your older relatives have a story to share of their history at CCR, we’ re interested to hear it. If they would like a visit from one of our Committee members to share their information, please call Earl Sowers or Perry Cooper. If you think you’ d be interested in working with our curator, Perry Cooper to help develop content stories and photos, please contact him at the above e-mail address or call him at248-563-6122.
