CCR Snowmobile Rules
Snowmobiles operated in the cabin area must obey the Ranch designated speed limit . Snowmobiles operated in the cabin after 10:00 p . m . and before 7:00 a . m . must travel from one point on the Ranch to the member ’ s or guest ’ s place of overnight lodging . Please be sure you familiarize yourself and your guests with these nine ( 9 ) snowmobile rules :
11.01 Snowmobilers must observe Ranch speed limits of 10 m . p . h . and 20 m . p . h . as designated in rule 10.01 .
11.02 Snowmobiles shall not be operated in the cabin area from 10:00 p . m . to 7:00 a . m . except to go from one point on the Ranch to the members or guest ’ s place of overnight lodging .
11.03 Snowmobiles shall always travel to the right side of the car and snowmobile trails . 11.04 In the cabin area snowmobiles shall be confined to roads and designated groomed trails .
11.05 Guests and / or their host member must purchase a guest sticker to affix to their snowmobile windshield . Guest stickers shall be issued for a period of one week . A different color sticker must be obtained each Thursday .
11.06 Children under 12 years of age operating a snowmobile shall be under visual supervision of an adult or guardian .
11.07 Children between the ages of 12 and 16 in possession of a State of Michigan certificate will be allowed the same snowmobile privileges as an adult . Those without State of Michigan certificates shall be controlled by the same regulation as those persons under 12 years of age .
11.08 Snowmobiles shall not be in the hunting property during rifle season . Snowmobiles are permitted in the cabin area at any time with a minimum of 4 inches of snow .
11.09 Snowmobiles will not be operated in the hunting area during the designated elk season , except with prior permission from the Manager .
Snowmobiling can be an exciting and exhilarating winter activity , offering a chance to explore snowy landscapes and enjoy the outdoors . However , to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience , it is important to familiarize yourself with the rules and guidelines before hitting the trails . Additionally , CCR Cross Country Ski trails are designated with blue triangles on trees along the Ski Trail . Snowmobilers , for the safety of skiers and yourself , PLEASE , stay offthe ski trails .
Members , please familiarize yourself with the Ranch Snowmobile Rules that can be found online on the CCR Website or an updated CCR Rule handbook ( November 2024 ).
In addition to safety and environmental concerns , snowmobilers should be mindful of proper trail etiquette . Always stay to the right of the trail and be aware of other riders approaching from behind . Familiarizing yourself with the ultimate goal of enjoying the outdoors responsible while minimizing environmental impact will make your snowmobiling adventure both thrilling and safe
