5 . Deer Habitat Improvement Program and Deer Private Land Assistance Network Grants
• B . Rogers stated the grant through the Alpena- Montmorency County Conservation District was submitted . The award date announcement is scheduled for March 1 , 2021 . The grant through the DNR has not yet been submitted but will be by the end of the month deadline .
6 . Forestry Treatment Updates
• B . Rogers stated the 2019 / 2020 treatment has been completed by Precision Forestry . B . Rogers indicated he has voiced his concerns regarding branches and brush being left within the 50-foot buffer area . If this is not remedied by the spring , CCR will retain the $ 3,000 bond . The 2020 / 2021 treatment from Rye 7 north is underway by Cordes Forestry . The equipment rolled in on Monday , February 15 , 2021 . The north gate has been removed to limit damage to it . This gate will be replaced in the Spring after the treatment is complete . Motion by A . Lifsey , supported by T . Logghe to approve the Manager ’ s Report as presented . • R . Karbon reported the goal is on track . The final recommended proxy language was presented in the Board workshop . Goal remains on track .

: Method of Measuring CCR Programs Effectiveness
• B . Rogers stated the software program has been purchased and installed . We are awaiting training on two different dates in March . The system should be operations by the end of April . Goal is green and on track .
2 . Other Strategic Plan Items .
• M . Boyce read out loud the proposed goal regarding Member Long-Term Discipline . M . Boyce will send out the appropriate language for this goal and ask for final approval in the near future .
• M . Ames asked that the BOD add a goal regarding acquisition of adjacent land .

• T . Chambers presented a proposed rule change for first reading . The Conservation Committee shows an email tally that a majority of the members support this change .
• “ Gas-Powered motors are not allowed on boats , even if not in use , on any of the Canada Creek Ranch Lakes . The use of electric motors is allowed . No wake is allowed on any of CCR ’ s lakes or waterways .” Motion by R . Karbon , supported by M . Boyce to approve the first reading . Motion Approved Unanimous 9-0 .

2 . Whitetails Unlimited Banquet Special Liquor License ( 04 / 22 / 2021 ).
• B . Rogers reported CCR has tentatively scheduled this year ’ s Whitetails Unlimited Banquet for April 22 , 2021 . This banquet generated approximately $ 3,100 in 2019 and $ 4,600 in 2018 towards our Fields and Food Plots . Additionally , $ 500 was donated to the Hunter ’ s Safety program . Because this event is open to individuals in the community and not just members , we must obtain a temporary 24-hour liquor license to serve alcohol . Motion by R . Delecki , supported by M . Ames to approve applying for a Special Liquor License for the Whitetails Unlimited Banquet . Motion Approved Unanimous 9-0 .
3 . Wedding Special Liquor License ( 04 / 24 / 2021 )
• B . Rogers stated CCR has tentatively scheduled a wedding in the lower level of the Ranch House , utilizing the outside tent on April 24 , 2021 . Because this wedding will have non-members present and is located in an area that is licensed by our current club license , approval by the Board is needed to have CCR serve and generate revenue from this event . This is a temporary 24-hour liquor license to serve alcohol . Motion by M . Ames , supported by R . Karbon to approve applying for a Special Liquor License for the wedding on April 24 , 2021 . Motion Approved Unanimous 9-0 .

• No other new business Items from Members 1 . Escrow Fee Deferment Request for Erickson Property
• B . Rogers report the daughter of the late Walter and Beth Erickson has requested that the escrow fee of $ 150.00 be waived for the property as she attempts to sell the property . In the past , the board practice was to charge the escrow fee but give a timeline of six months where a sale must be consummated to have the fees removed .
