May is children’s book month. The library was able to
purchase 12 books, ranging in topics from how to be kind to
365 things you can do with Legos, and everything in between.
We did have a couple of books donated by Web Wood for
adults. The first one is Dead Man Running by Steve Hamilton.
Alex McKnight, an ex-Detroit cop, lives in Paradise, Michigan.
Alex is minding his own business at a bar one cold and snowy
night when all of a sudden, a couple of FBI agents come
rushing in demanding to talk to him, it’s a matter of life and
death. It seems that there is a deranged loner in their custody,
and he will only talk to Alex. All the loner will say is “there is
a seventh girl out there and she is still alive, for now.”

MISSION STATEMENT
Canada Creek Ranch Association, Inc.
Stay Hidden by Paul Doiron is a story about Mike Bowditch,
a newly promoted Warden Investigator, called to the scene
of a woman shot to death, the opening day of deer season, on
a small island off the coast of Maine. The deer on the island
are prolific and so are ticks and Lyme disease. What looked
like an open and shut case is anything but?
The purpose of Canada Creek Ranch Association is to
preserve our hunting and fishing heritage and to provide a
quality outdoor environment for those other recreational
activities which are unique to its woods, waters, and wildlife;
and to promote among its members an enduring fellowship
working to preserve its properties, and friendly spirit for
future generations. This mission is to be implemented
within principles of ecologically responsible resource
stewardship, sound, farsighted financial management, and
respect for the dignity of fellow members. Consistent with
these objectives are the following implementation goals:
If you are taking out DVDs or audiobooks, please double
check that all the discs are back in the cases when you return
them. It’s very disheartening when you are watching or
listening and all of a sudden you can’t continue because the
next disc is missing. Please return any discs you may have
overlook to the reference shelf by the computer and we will
make sure it gets back to the right set. Thanks, and happy
reading.
