Recreation Committee Annual Report
The Recreation Committee would like to thank the Board of Directors , the Management Team , all Team Members and the Membership for their support of all recreational activities in 2020 .
This year started out great with our Annual Trek & Trail Treats in January and Winter Jamboree in February . Both were well attended and enjoyed by all .
As we all know , this year did present some challenges with the coronavirus pandemic . All committee communication was done by email and phone calls . Members and their guests were reminded to wear face masks and practice social distancing when on the Ranch .
In July we were able to have Beach Bash with limited activities as well as music on the front lawn of the Ranch House performed by The Remedee Band from Atlanta . On Labor Day weekend the Annual CCR Art Fair was held with fewer vendors but still a big success .
Unfortunately , all raffles and the Annual Rubber Duck Race were cancelled due to Raffle License Laws , not Covid-19 . However , the Board of Directors and the Management Team are looking for ways to have raffles and hopefully we will once again be able to have raffles and the Rubber Duck Race next year .
Looking forward , the Chili Cook-Off has been cancelled this year by plans are being made for the Annual Trunk & Treat event on October 24 , 2020 at the baseball field . There will not be a party following Trunk & Treat .
Thanks again to all who helped to make these events a success . The committee would like to see these activities continue and is always looking for new ideas and welcome new members to the committee .
