Ladies Auxiliary Annual Report
Canada Creek Ranch Women ’ s Auxiliary Cassie Cotner , Co-Chair Jimmy Reeves , Co-Chair Julie Olds , Treasurer Sue Jacobs , Secretary
The CCR Auxiliary consist of all female members of Canada Creek Ranch . We are primarily a service organization that supports activities on the Ranch and the surrounding communities . This support ranges from donations to the CCR Fire Brigade to local school systems lunch programs . Books are purchased for the club library ; organization and maintenance are provided by the Auxiliary . We also supply dishes and servers for Funeral / Memorial luncheons for members . The Auxiliary also awards the annual Hank LaLonde Award to members who go “ above and beyond ” in providing a service to the Ranch . CCR Fire Chief John Jones was given the award for 2019 . The Auxiliary also operates the CCR Gift Shop .
This year , 2020 , has provided a challenge for us as well as everyone else . Our fundraiser dinners , Spring Fling and Harvest Dinner , and annual book sale did not and will not occur this year . We expect to present the Hank LaLonde award , make our annual Christmas donations and continue to operate the gift shop and library .
Thank you , Jimmy Reeves

Heritage Foundation Committee Annual Report
This new ad hoc committee was authorized by the CCR Board of Directors . Four Ranch couples serve on this committee . We have been asked to create a non-profit Michigan Corporation and it will be known as the CCR Foundation Inc . ( Canada Creek Regional ). This Corporation is organized exclusively to receive and administer funds for the protection of natural resources , charitable , and educational purposes , as described in Section 501 ( c ) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code . We have applied for this MI Corp . and expect our approval in a few weeks . We will then ask the IRS to designate us as a 501 ( c ) 3 organization to process donations as tax deductible . Our traditional path of donating funds for some projects will still be available .
Funds donated to a 501 ( c ) 3 must be for the good of the region and for educational , charitable , and natural resources included land , waters , forest and wildlife of the Canada Creek Watershed . And “ arms length ” must be kept between the CCR Assn . Inc . and the Michigan non-profit CCR Foundation . Remember the Ranch In order to ensure that Canada Creek Ranch continues financially sound into our second century and beyond , a Heritage Donations Committee has been approved by our Board of Directors . Please consider the Ranch when preparing your wills and trusts . Like gifts to churches , colleges and charities , we can accept checks , stocks , bonds , real estate and life insurance proceeds . For more information , please contact one of our committee couples .
Help preserve Canada Creek Ranch for our future generations !
