2025 Hunting Selection Provided by the CCR Conservation Committee December 2025
Important: This 2025 CCR document does not cover all the information needed for deer hunting on CCR. See the 2025 DNR Hunting Regulations from the State of Michigan and the current update of CCR Rules for other important details and the list of seasons open on the Ranch.
State of Michigan Mandatory Harvest Reporting Deer hunters are required to report a successful harvest online within 72 hours or before transferring possession of the deer to another person, taxidermist, or processor. Hunters must continue to attach a paper kill tag to the harvested deer.
CCR Mandatory Harvest Reporting Hunters staying on Ranch property shall register their kill to the Ranch office within 24 hours, whether the kill was made on or off the Ranch property. The registration data form( located at the Ranch House) must be completely filled out and turned in to the Ranch House. Volunteers assisting in data collection will have a phone contact sheet made available to hunters.
This rule applies to deer, not turkey, elk, bear, small game, and predators. The CCR Office will provide a special registration tag at the time of registration. It is to be displayed on the deer while at the Ranch. This will give Security and fellow members the assurance that the deer is properly registered.
Antlerless Deer Harvest a total of 100 antlerless deer on CCR property for the entire duration of the whitetailed deer season. This quota is recommended annually by CCR’ s wildlife biologist.
RULE 19.13 Deer hunting on the CCR is permitted during the following state seasons: o Liberty Hunt: The Ranch harvest is limited to antlerless deer only.

o Early Antlerless Firearm: September 20-21, 2025 o Archery Season( Early Segment): October 1- November 14, 2025 o Regular Firearms Season: November 15 to November 30, 2025 o Archery Season( Late Segment): December 1, 2025- January 1, 2026 o December Muzzleloader Season: December 5-14, 2025 o Late Antlerless Firearm Season: December 15, 2025-January 1, 2026
Unless otherwise specified by additional Board action, all other seasons are closed to deer hunting on CCR.
· RULE 19.15 Antlerless deer may only be taken on CCR property under the conditions below: o The antlerless deer harvest quota is determined annually by the Board of Directors upon review of the current deer herd health and status. NOTE: Hunters will be notified via a sign at Wilson Bridge and electronic communications once the antlerless harvest quota has been met. At that time, no additional antlerless harvests are permitted.
o Only Members may harvest antlerless deer. EXCEPTION: Youth Members, 100 %
