I’ m on a fixed income, how can I afford this? All CCR members are important to the CCR Board and management.
• That’ s why we asked a committee of dedicated members and financial experts to help us consider how to generate the additional revenue needs.
• That’ s why we are asking for an increase that costs only 56 cents per member per day.
• That’ s why, even after this increase, we’ ll still have lower dues than CCR’ s local sister club.
Can you explain 56 cents per day? The creation of a Resource Fund Dues allocation will be $ 142.00 per membership certificate. This is the straight increase you will see under the Resource Dues Allocation each year. CCR also wanted to take into account the Surrendered Certificate Assessment, which every membership certificate pays as well. We anticipate that the total for the Surrendered Certificate will be about $ 63.61. Therefore, $ 142.00 + $ 63.61 = $ 205.61. $ 205.61.00 / 365 days per year = 56 cents per day
Many Members do not get electronic communication; therefore, this proposal change should be done on paper. The assumption that members do not receive electronic communication is not correct. Here are some statistics based on CCR’ s membership database:
• There are approximately 1,239 memberships at CCR.
• Out of these 1,239 memberships, 1,218 memberships have an email address on file with CCR. That is 98.3 % of the membership having access to the Canada Creek Connection( email blast.)
• These numbers do not include any social media presence.
Most Members prefer to have communication in paper. The latest member survey completed in 2023 shows that Email, Website, CCR News via Email and Text Messaging are rated higher in importance than the CCR News in printed and mailed form. CCR still allows all member to receive paper forms of the CCR News by asking the office.
