Please email Rick Krucker , Property and Maintenance Manager , at rick @ ccra . club with your Company Name , Address , Phone Number , trade area , and if you would like to be a consultant or a bidder on projects . We are expanding our list of members who could help us in an emergency or provide valuable project consulting .
CCR requires all contractors to have liability insurance , worker ’ s compensation , and other forms of coverage . Please feel free to contact us for specific details .
E . CCR SNOWPLOWING POLICY - Snowplowing operations generally begin on primary Ranch roads when snow levels have reached sufficient amounts to plow . If snow continues to fall or is predicted , we are prepared to respond accordingly . Special attention is focused on hills , curves , and intersections . When the snow has fallen after 4:00 pm , plowing and sanding will generally begin the next day between 6 and 7 a . m ., so the primary Ranch roads are passable for school or work . If weather or driving conditions warrant , a crew may be called in at night , on weekends , or Holidays . Once the roads are open and sanded , we will direct our attention to member driveways as time allows .
F .
Our snow removal policy is designed to provide the best service possible , but we ask that members try to maintain realistic expectations when conditions are unpredictable . Weather conditions or events make it impossible to ensure perfect , ice-free roads . Using sand and salt helps with traction and ice removal ; however , we will never be able to eliminate all the icy conditions on a gravel road surface . We encourage you to drive defensively , avoid the hills at Wildfowl Lake and Virginia Hill , and enter the Ranch at either Feather Fern or South Entrance gate when road conditions are questionable . These alternate routes may add a few minutes ; however , you will avoid the Ranch ’ s steepest hills .
Concerning access to mailboxes and driveways , our snowplows run the roads and push snow to each side . We try to stay close to the road edges yet remain far enough away not to hit any mailboxes . Just like other road maintenance entities , it is the responsibility of homeowners to keep their mailboxes and driveways clear of debris .
In closing , CCR aims to maintain Ranch roads for safe automobile travel , not snowmobile trail access . We will always prioritize emergency vehicle access ; consequently , areas of roads may not be pristine for snowmobile usage .

G . 2024 / 25 FORESTRY TREATMENT HAS BEGUN - As of today ( 12-23-2024 ), forestry equipment has begun moving into the harvest treatment area on the cable road , north of the North Gate Road .
You will notice heavy equipment using the roads . This will be from CCR ’ s North Gate , located on Bear Den Lake Road by the Rifle Range . The plowing will continue past the shooting ranges , then onto North Gate Road and then Cable Road . This treatment has started , and we ask anyone driving snowmobiles or vehicles to be cautious in this area .
Snowmobile grooming will not begin until we receive enough snow to do so . Therefore , the Hunting Area is not closed as of today , January 6 , 2025 .
H . ELK HUNT FINAL NUMBERS – December 22 , 2024 , was the last official day of the December Elk Season . CCR ’ s volunteer guides and scouts were successful in harvesting 11 total animals .
